Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), Morocco's national news agency founded in 1959, publishes a constant stream of dispatches in several languages. It wanted subscribers to receive those articles in real time, on the web and on their phones, filtered to the topics they follow.
Matious built MAP News Display, a real-time news aggregation platform that centralizes articles from MAP's sources in Arabic, French, Spanish, English and Amazigh. It ships as iOS and Android apps and a web app, with topic filters, alerts, secure subscription plans and online payment.
MAP News Display won the Prix d'excellence in the mobile applications category of Morocco's e-mtiaz 2019 awards for public e-services, and has passed 100,000 downloads.
